Alberta’s only truly outdoor-focused expo — and Canada’s top affordable adventure weekend! The AOAE brings together outdoor enthusiasts from across Canada who share a passion for the outdoors, from all different backgrounds. Whether you hike, bike, climb, paddle, or wheel, this is where you find your tribe.
Expert-Led Workshops (40+ Classes): Off-road driving, bushcraft, kayaking, fishing, yoga, outdoor cooking, mental health, archery, navigation, and much more. Something for every skill level, from first-timers to seasoned adventurers.
Camping (80+ Acres): Forest, lakeside, or wide-open field camping — festival style. Rooftop tents, RVs, camper vans, hammocks, tipis, and tents all welcome. Space is first come, first served with your weekend pass.
50+ Exhibitors: Showcasing the best in overlanding, adventure travel, fishing, camping gear, conservation, camper builds, solar solutions, and more.
Activities & Entertainment: Giant Jenga, Connect 4, cornhole, a kids’ zone, climbing wall, beer gardens, giveaways, fireside chats, dancing, live music, and nightly movies under the stars.
Located in the rolling foothills of Alberta between Hinton and Edson, adjacent to the mighty McLeod River. On-site fishing at a stocked trout pond or along the river. Easy access from Edmonton (~2.5 hours west on Hwy 16).
